Andrea Bocelli, the renowned Italian opera singer, quickly fell in love with his manager and wife, Veronica Berti.
Details on Andrea Bocelli
Though the couple officially married on March 21, 2014, Andrea stated in The Guardian that “effectively the marriage began when we met.” According to legend, the actress and the renowned tenor met at a party in 2002. Andrea sang an aria for her, titled Occhi Di Fata (Fairy’s Eyes). Andrea had recently divorced his first wife, Enrica Cenzatti (with whom he had two boys, Amos and Matteo), after 10 years of marriage. Veronica was 18 at the time.
And just like that, as Andrea describes, the two began their relationship.
He went on to remark that music has always been the glue that holds them together: they debate, perform, and listen to it together. In 2012, the same year they welcomed their daughter, Virginia, to the world, they famously sang a wonderful rendition of the love song “Qualche Stupido.”
The two married in 2014 at the Sanctuary of Madonna di Montenero in Tuscany, Italy, on Virginia’s second birthday.
Andrea and Veronica have been married for ten years and currently live in Tuscany. During the height of COVID-19, the duo focused their efforts on raising funds for relief efforts through the Andrea Bocelli Foundation.
If that wasn’t enough, their daughter seemed to have inherited her father’s musical ability! Virginia and Andrea have sang together in the past, most recently performing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” on Strictly Come Dancing in November 2023. The performance was so moving that it went viral months later on TikTok.
