Jill Marie Jones is grateful for her TV husband and former Girlfriends co-star Jason Pace this holiday season, as it is her first Christmas without her mother, Gloria Underwood Jones.
Details on Jill Marie Jones
On Thursday, December 26, the 49-year-old actress shared an Instagram carousel about how her holiday was full of love despite the loss. The first image on the slide was a selfie video of her with Pace, 50, who portrayed Dr. Todd Garrett on the 2000s sitcom.
In the series, Jones played Antoinette “Toni” Childs-Garrett. Jones called Pace’s 17-year-old daughter Sarah “the next Julia Child” and said the teenager “cooked the entire meal and made pie… and it SLAPPED!!!”
The table arrangement for their happy feast and further selfies of the costars were displayed in other pictures.
The footage showed Pace searching his cabinets for the right tea to serve Jones. For the video, two of his children were also present in the kitchen. One of the actor’s sons happily revealed that his sister had made their dinner.
Jones posted a video homage to her mother on Instagram on May 8th, along with pictures from her life.
From 2000 until 2008, Girlfriends followed a group of Black women who lived in Los Angeles as best friends: Jones (Toni), Persia White (Lynn Searcy), Golden Brooks (Maya Wilkes), and Tracee Ellis Ross (Joan Clayton).
The sitcom debuted on Netflix in September 2020, two years after the streaming service promised to offer more Black-led programming with the introduction of Strong Black Lead.
