On Tuesday, December 17, KOLD-TV anchor Tyler Butler posted on Facebook that Ana Orsini, a 28-year-old news anchor from Arizona, passed away last week due to a brain aneurysm.

According to KOLD’s homage, Orsini was a person “who always stood up for ‘the little guy.'” The anchor was known for coaching junior employees.

According to the network, Orsini had a strong interest in animal rescue and was a frequent listener of true crime podcasts.

During a program on Monday, December 16, the journalist’s coworkers at the Tucson-based CBS affiliate confirmed her passing.

Orsini’s biography states that she graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station in 2018 and started working as a journalist at a Lubbock, Texas, news station. After that, she traveled to Medford, Oregon, where she worked as a morning/midday anchor for three years, covering everything.

Co-anchors Butler and Currier are among those who are grieving Orsini’s passing.
