Marvel recently released Werewolf By Night, a Halloween Special directed by Music Composer and first director Michael Giacchino. And it’s one of the first horror projects ever made by Marvel Studios, but after watching it, maximum fans were confused as to whether it should be part of the Canon of the MCU.
About the Werewolf Night BY Halloween Special
So if you haven’t watched the Halloween Special yet, I have to stop you here as we may share some spoilers about the movie in this post.
Werewolf by Night is the story of a community of Monster Hunters whose main leader is now dead and who decides to elect their new leader, who will now wield an all-powerful weapon called the Bloodstone.
Our main character as the hunts begin Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal), who is a Half Werewolf or Night Werewolf and also called to compete in the hunt with Elsa, played by Laura Donnelly, tried to help the beast because that was his main plan, only to save the beast.
Eventually, Elsa tried to help Jack and killed almost every hunter and took control of Bloodstone with the help of the Werewolf and the other monster named Ted.
Werewolf Night it’s really amazing and the storytelling and narration is really different and dark. That’s why fans are asking if it’s part of the MCU canon.
Will the MCU be part of the canon?
Werewolf’s story is kind of a part of it, as the story of the series begins with the voices of the legendary superheroes of the MCU. However, I don’t think the characters of the series will appear in any mainstream MCU series or movies anytime soon.
The MCU isn’t really that dark and it’s a PG-13 universe. But as we know Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness It really pushed the boundaries of PG-13, and characters like Blade, Daredevil, and Deadpool had already been announced as part of the MCU and were spotted in the daring movie. She Hulk Episode 7.
So it is quite possible that we will see Russell and Elsa in future projects of the MCU, Blade or Moon Knight Season 2.
Werewolf By Night is live Disney+.
