Tour de France Stage 3: Dylan Groenewegen wins, Wout van Aert still leads the Tour, Denmark farewell

TThe last stage of the Tour de France in Denmark was similar to the last stage of the Giro d’Italia in Hungary – somewhat disappointing.

The idea of the big three being based outside their home country would be an economic, social and even competitive success, but on Sunday the riders decided to kick off the gas pedal.

The day passed quietly, the only joy was Magnus Courtseparation. The Danish rider again pleased the public in his home country, breaking away with 40 kilometers to go.

The pace was behind Philippe Gilbert, the oldest rider on the tour. In his 12th appearance in large bouclewhere he won the stage in 2011, now it’s his turn to become captain Lotto Soudal and work for Caleb Evan.

He enjoys his last performance, but so far his efforts are not enough to win.

Scary 10 kilometers to go

Calmness was caused by the fact that at the moment of truth, when tension came, piling up.

The finish line was 10 kilometers away when there was a cluster of several Movistar riders. But Caleb Evan was locked by a fence in the final sprint.

It was Dylan Groenewegen who led in a very tight sprint, beating Van Aert as well as sagan. Wout van Aert, for his part, is still in his yellow uniform.

However, four favorites lost time at the finish line: Rigoberto Uranus, Jack Haig, Thibaut Pino as well as Damiano Caruso lost time after an accident 7 km from the finish line.
