Google’s Maps geolocation service is about to get a new feature that will help travelers better plan their route while considering their budget.
In addition to the ability to avoid tolls, Maps will now offer support for tolls for the latter. As a result, users will be able to plan their route using roads that are distributed throughout tolls and know the total cost of the trip and the cost of each segment.
Google has partnered with highway network operators to obtain information on tolls for each road segment. Information should be updated in real time to accommodate variable prices that can be seen on certain routes based on the day of the week.
The option will be prioritized on roads in Indonesia, India, Japan and the US before being invited by more networks.
