The Supreme Court is hearing Andy Warhol’s copyright dispute

The US Supreme Court on Wednesday heard a dispute over whether the late Andy Warhol violated copyright law by creating a series of drawings based on a 1981 photograph of musician Prince taken by photographer Lynn Goldsmith. Paul Szynol, an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Law School and a media attorney, broke down the case.
