ITo provide their fans with the best experience when they play at home, the Buffalo Bills have announced that they will build a new stadium, which is expected to open in 2026.

Ron Rakkuia, the team’s executive vice president, said the new stadium will be on par with the best sports facilities in the world.

“We are going to build the best football stadium we can for the Buffalo Bills and our fans. It will be ultra-modern and will have many modern amenities not currently available at the Highmark Stadium,” he said.

Raccuia also revealed that their new home as a venue will be built in essentially the same location where Highmark Stadium currently sits.

“We did extensive research, looked around downtown, Amherst and determined that the best location would be Orchard Park across from the existing stadium. Other places require more dollars and significantly more time,” he said.

The new NFL facility will cost an estimated $1.35 billion and be smaller than Highmark Stadium, home of the Bills since 1973, which can seat up to 71,870 fans compared to the 62,000 that the stadium will be built over the next four years, will be able to accommodate accommodate.

“These were two big achievements. We are grateful to Governor Kathy Hochul, County Executive Mark Polonkartz, Commissioner Goodell, and all partners in New York State, Erie County, and the NFL,” said Ron Rakkuia.

It should be noted that the Buffalo Bills played their first seasons at War Memorial Stadium, opened in 1937 and demolished in 1989.

The franchise later moved to Rich Stadium in 1973.
