Granada, (EFE) It exceeds the data recorded in 2019, the year before the coronavirus pandemic.
The director of the public trust that manages the Nasrid site, Rocío Díaz, announced this Sunday that the Alhambra will close this year with “very positive” data compared to the last years affected by the pandemic.
“We demonstrate, once again, that our management model strengthens the destination of Granada”, emphasized Díaz, who thanked all the staff of the Board of Directors for their work in obtaining this good data, that he hopes to continue to improve as he faces the new challenges presented by heritage and tourism.
To do this, he explained, the work will continue in collaboration with professionals in the sector and a commitment to constant dialogue will be made: “It is essential to generate new strategies to continue to be leaders”, underlined Diaz.
76% is domestic tourism
Visitors to the Alhambra, whose purchase is now made twenty days in advance, come mainly from national tourism, which on this bridge represented 76.43%.
Compared to other months, there is a rebound in international tourism, currently led by Korea, Italy and the United States, among others, in their visits to the Alhambra, the monument reported.
On the other hand, Granada has achieved this festive bridge of the Constitution and the Immaculate Conception an occupancy of almost 80% in a few days, as highlighted this Sunday by the Mayor of Tourism, Eduardo Castillo.
The city councilor stressed that the balance sheet of the bridge was “positive” despite the rains recorded for a few days.
According to Castillo, the events organized by the town hallespecially in the Christmas spaces scattered in the historic center of this Andalusian capital, were “crowded” with inhabitants and visitors when the weather permitted.
“This is good news and can make us reflect positively on the expectations of the next Christmas dates,” said the mayor of Tourism. EFE
