Stock Market Opens Bullish Week Amid Renewed Buying Interest, Up 0.24%

The Nigerian stock market closed on a positive note on Monday as the All Shares Index rose 0.24% to close at 48,270.23 points from the previous close of 48,154.65 points.

Investors gained 62 billion naira as market capitalization rose 0.24% to close at 26.291 trillion naira from the previous close of 26.229 trillion naira.

A total of 645 million units of shares were traded in 3,486 transactions, valued at N4.19 billion.

Market breadth closed positive, as 19 stocks emerged as winners versus 16 stocks that fell in share price.

Guinness led other gainers with 10% growth, closing at N69.3 from the previous close of N63.

Eterna Plc and Royal Exchange, among other winners, also increased their share prices by 8.78% and 8.33%, respectively.

Losers Percentage

Geregu Power led other price declines, losing 9.85% of its share price, closing at N110.7 from the previous close of N122.8.

SCOA and Thomas Wyatt, among other prices that fell, also lowered their share price by 9.43% and 9.09%.
