This adaptogenic pumpkin chai latte will soon become your favorite fall drink. It does not contain coffee, but it is packed with adaptogens that will improve your energy levels and improve your mood. Plus, it’s dairy-free!

This illuminating, creamy latte can be as impactful in your skincare rituals as any serum or mask. While you can take ashwagandha in pill form, I use powdered ashwagandha in this recipe, in addition to powdered maca. Maca is a plant sometimes referred to as Peruvian ginseng and has similar benefits. Maca root is not only loaded with essential vitamins and nutrients, but it is also known to boost mood and energy, improve memory, and help keep metabolism going.

I also added some reishi mushroom powder to this recipe as it is known to boost the immune system and fight fatigue and depression. It is also an antioxidant.

Why I love this recipe:

  • dairy free
  • Boost the mood
  • It tastes delicious
  • You can drink it hot or cold
  • Less caffeine than coffee.
  • energy booster

Tips:

  • Double, triple, or quadruple this recipe to make a larger batch, and store in the fridge for easy drinking for several days.
  • You can serve this hot or cold. I recommend heating an entire batch first, then chilling it in the fridge before serving it over ice. Doing it with hot water will help dissolve and mix some of the components better than cold water. Just be sure to shake it before pouring, as there will be a bit of separation as it cools.
  • Feel free to skip the maca if you want to enjoy it later in the day. Maca will give you a natural energy boost that can linger undesirable into the evening hours.
