The technology multinational Sony reduced its net profit by 34.8% between April and September, to 424,900 million yen (3,220 million euros), mainly due to the losses of an insurer in its financial branch.
The company’s operating profit increased 11.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, which corresponds to the first half of its fiscal year, to 598,500 million yen (4,540 million euros ), an increase that Sony attributed to the good return on recent investment in the music industry.
