Schweinsteiger explains disappointing end to Manchester United career under Mourinho


Bastian Schweinsteiger expressed his dissatisfaction with the way he was treated Jose Mourinho in the second season of his two-year stint in Manchester United.

The former Germany international was strangely frozen by the Portuguese coach after returning from the 2016 European Championship.

“It was very strange. “So I did it, I was in shape, I played at the Euros, I was looking forward to coming to United to play with Mourinhowho twice actually wanted to buy me for Inter in 2010 and then in [Real] Madrid.”

Mourinho’s apology

Schweinsteiger went on to reveal that Mourinho admitted his mistake and apologized to the winner of the 2014 World Cup for not giving him the opportunity to Red Devils.

“Of course, I respected him a lot, but I didn’t understand the situation, why I wasn’t allowed to train to play with the first team,” Bayern Munich legend added.
