Mthoughts before Saul “Canelo” Alvarez planned take the ring against Dmitry Bivol at the T-Mobile Arena, the Mexican boxer stated that he would like to fight in his home country, as Tyson Fury Made in London, UK.

Canelo Alvarez last fought in Mexico in November 2011 when he won Kermit Cintron TKO at 2:53 of the fifth round. Since then, all Canelo fights have taken place in the United States.

Now that he has become one of the most popular boxers in the world, Alvarez wants to recreate the atmosphere that gypsy king had in England. Fury fought on Wembley Stadium in London a couple of weeks ago and kept his WBC heavyweight title by knockout Dillian Whyte.

“I would like to [to fight in Mexico] and do something like Tyson Fury in London,” Canelo said.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Dmitry Bivol

Alvarez will try to steal WBA light heavyweight title from Russian boxer Bivol in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bivol has more to lose than Canelo, including an unbeaten record (19-0-0, 11 KOs).

This will be the ninth time Bivol defends his crown. He fought against such rivals as Sullivan Barrier, Jean Pascal, Joe Smith Jr. and Craig Richards.

Alvarez became the undisputed super middleweight champion after defeating Caleb Plant in November 2021. Canelo knocked out compatriot Bivol Sergey Kovalev win the light heavyweight crown in the 11th round.
