United Nations General Assembly This Wednesday condemned the latest “illegal” annexation From four regions in eastern Ukraine after a series of popular consultations not recognized by the vast majority of the international community.

By 143 votes in favor and 5 againstthe UN plenary meeting rejected the annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye to Russian territory announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in late September.

Only five countries – North Korea, Syria, Nicaragua, Belarus and Russia – voted against the resolution The UN Charter is entitled “The Territorial Integrity of Ukraine: Defending the Principles of the UN Charter”.
