Russia won its third beach soccer world title today, beating Japan (5-2) in the final in a game the Slavs dominated from the opening minutes.
There was no room for surprise. The hosts stepped out for the game in the first few minutes and, unlike the Swiss, they weren’t surprised by the Japanese team, a semi-finalist two years ago.
