Relatives of one of striker Joao Maleck’s victims have filed a complaint with Jalisco state authorities after receiving threats to stop the case in which the Mexican footballer killed a married couple in a car crash.
Martha and Claudia Álvarez Ugena, mother and aunt of María Fernanda Peña, who died in the accident, reported on Tuesday in a statement that they had received “repeated threats” asking them to stop following the case in which Maleck was convicted of a doubly aggravated wrongful death.
