Raheem Sterling became the first Chelsea player since Abramovich left.

HeyEngland official Raheem Sterling you joined Chelsea from champions Manchester at the first signing of the new owner Todd Painterm of office.

The 27-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the London club with the possibility of an extension for another year. It is also considered that Sterlingcontract in Chelsea gives him an even higher wage than he had with the townspeople.

To take away from the English star, who scored double figures for City in each of his seven seasons, Chelsea agreed to pay their Premier League rivals €53m, with an additional €12m in performance-related allowances, bringing the deal to a potential €65m.

Sterling leaves Manchester with a record of 131 goals in 339 games in all competitions.

With the Citizens, he has won the Premier League four times, in addition to the FA Cup once and the EFL Cup six times.

However, last season Sterling began to lose prominence in the City forward, burgeoning with talent.

With competition from Gabriel Jesus (who has since joined Arsenal), Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrezhe didn’t play as many games as he would have liked.

There were rumors about his future deceitful departure Sterling all season, although he still contributed more than enough to City’s title with 17 goals and nine assists in 47 appearances. Of these games, I “only” started 32.

For City to more or less get their money back for a 27-year-old who was losing his footing in the team looks like a good deal.

However, it is certain that the departure Sterling as well as Jesus weaken their depth despite the arrival Erling Haland.

Sterlingwho joined his new teammates on their pre-season trip to Los Angeles, spoke of the move as a kind of homecoming as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.

“London is my home and that’s where it all started for me and it’s amazing that I now have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family week after week at Stamford Bridge. I’m really looking forward to meeting fans soon.” ,” said Sterling.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Todd, Behdad, the owner group, Thomas and everyone involved in the process that brought me here.

“I can’t wait to start now and keep talking on the pitch.”
