Black Friday is arguably the best time of year to score items on sale from all of your favorite brands—but if you’re a fashion designer shopper, you know that there are some brands that would simply never host an official release. If you want to find a designer bag, shoe, or jacket at a discounted price, you’ll either have to buy it for resale or do some digging for it. For this very reason, I was shocked when I went to Nordstrom’s website and found that there were 70 Balenciaga pieces heavily up to 50 percent discount. I immediately assumed that Nordstrom’s website was hosting the unofficial Balenciaga Black Friday sale.
I’ve spent the last year obsessing over Balenciaga’s Cagole collection – the silver details on the knee high boots, fancy heels and shoulder bags are fun, unique and clearly represent the Balenciaga brand without any logos. I caved earlier this year and bought a Le Cagole bucket bag (a great buy, might I add) and was so excited to see some similar options on sale! In addition to handbags, Nordstrom’s site has tons of Balenciaga shoes—including the Le Cagole boots mentioned above. I’m very keen to tinker with a pair of designer slippers or a cozy winter scarf. At the very least, I’ll be sending this story to anyone who might be thinking of buying me a Christmas present (hint, hint).
