Salvador Viada, prosecutor of the Supreme Court, faces the end of his career by wanting to change the public ministry of the interior and strengthen its independence vis-à-vis politics. It is “very complicated” with this system to investigate someone “powerful”, he assures in an interview with Efe.
He has just been elected president of the Professional and Independent Association of Prosecutors (APIF), a small organization of around fifty members determined to fight for the right to a career and its depoliticization.
