Rafael Amarillas (14-4-1, 8 KOs) defeated Omar Chavez (38-7-1, 25 KOs) by unanimous decision at the Rafael S. Millan polideportivo in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Amarillas entered the ring as a victim, but as the rounds went on, he took control of the fight and beat Chavez mercilessly.
Rafael was on canvas twice, in the first and second rounds.
Chavez’s face began to slowly lose shape, Omar was bleeding from his nose and mouth, his right eye was practically closed and purplish red.
Amarillas came out with everything from the first series and forgot about the respect that the name of Chavez has in boxing, he punished his opponent and hit him even under the tongue.
The judges’ score cards were as follows: Scores: 96–95, 96–93 and 98–94.
Chavez has three defeats in a row, the last time he won in 2019 against Jesus Vegas.
