The governments of Nicaragua and Honduras agreed on Wednesday to define their borders in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, including the Gulf of Fonseca they share with El Salvador, the latter country absent from the signing.
The border agreement, called the “Bicentennial Integration Treaty”, was signed in Managua by Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and his Honduran counterpart, Juan Orlando Hernández, as part of an activity announced shortly before its start.
