Palma, Oct. 07 (EFE).- Menorca airport this Friday recorded a historic record for rainfall in one day with 159.2 liters per square meter, a figure that will probably be exceeded as it continues to rain.
The territorial center of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) reported that the absolute record has already been reached since there are records.
Until today, the maximum value recorded in one day (0-24h) on the island was 145.5 liters per square meter, measured on October 4, 1957 in Mahón, Plaza Explanada. At Menorca airport, the maximum so far was 68.9 liters per square meter.
The forecast for the next few hours indicates that it will continue to rain in Menorca. EFE
