Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 momentarily appeared on the PlayStation Store before being pulled, leading some users to believe an announcement was imminent. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was officially revealed during the PlayStation Showcase event in 2021, but Sony hasn’t released any new trailers since.

Also, the original trailer only teased the gameplay instead of revealing the entire game. Insomniac Games has yet to reveal many specific details about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but it has confirmed Venom as one of the game’s adversaries. While fans wait for more information, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 unexpectedly appeared on the PlayStation Store before being pulled.

The PlayStation Store page for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 went live briefly, allowing UK gamers to add the game to their wish lists.

Sony simply shared previously leaked screenshots, so it didn’t reveal anything new about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Some fans speculated that a new trailer would be released soon, however, the store page is now gone. Sony is scheduled to release a new trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse on December 13, so a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 announcement could be in the offing, though that’s just a hypothesis in the meantime.


Despite the paucity of recent information, Insomniac Games has reaffirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will still release in 2023. Some fans speculated that the game will be delayed because Sony has yet to announce its gameplay, but it sure looks like Marvel’s Spider-Man. 2 will be released on time. Insomniac Games has also recognized that showcasing games takes time and work, so fans can expect to see more of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 whenever the event team is able to unveil it.
