NCAA Basketball has a long season but becomes more interesting during the famous march madness a period that began tonight with the first half of 32 games played from Thursday to Friday. These games consist of two halves with the possibility of going to overtime. In the first 6 games, we enjoyed the first signs of this March madness with great chagrin, as the University Kentucky was eliminated by St. Peter’s. Right, Wild cats eliminated in the first round of overtime, but more on that later. We’ll be going conference after conference to tell you which games were played on Thursday and give you the results of each bracket.

The Western bracket has already prepared us for the first possible match of the Sweet 16, as four games took place on Thursday. Gonzaga (1) defeated Georgia St. (16) with an easy final score of 93-72. Boise Street (8) lost to Memphis (9) with a final score of 64-53. Thus, the second round match between Memphis and Gonzaga will take place on March 19-20. Arkansas Razorbacks (4) fought to the end to win Catamounts of Vermont (13) with a final score of 75-71.
