Medellín (Colombia), (EFE).- Singer Maluma has expanded his commercial career with the launch of ‘Royalty Records’, his own label, and announced this Wednesday in Medellín the first two artists signed by the Colombian star to be his “guide” and realize their “dreams” through music.

This new project, according to the interpreter of “Felices los cuatro” and “Hawái”, was born with the intention of seeing other Colombian artists and those from all over the world “making good music”, in addition to leaving a “legacy”.

“Very few months have passed since we decided to embark on this label path. It’s a lot of responsibility, it’s a lot of work. But I believe that nothing is impossible and that it takes dream big.

He added that after seeing his dreams come true through his music, he knew “immediately he could shake hands with others”.

“Royalty Records”, as the urban artist announced, already has two new Colombian artists: urban pop singer Abril and regional pop singer Paulina B, with whom he recently attended the Billboard Awards gala in Miami, where he launched his single “June”. .

He said that after unveiling his new international record label a few weeks ago and presenting the two talents with which he will begin this stage of his career, he felt that it was “very necessary to come discover their country”.

Spiritual and energetic connection with their new artists

About the first artists he will produce, he said he set his sights on them after getting carried away with a “spiritual” and “energetic” theme, and assured that Abril and Paulina B were coming to the when he wanted to get started with his record company, “to a breaking point.

Even if he will be like a kind of “godfather” and will pretend to “cut their way a little”, he hopes that they live their own experiences and that they “do their homework”.

“Here, nothing is given. Don’t think that because you’re on the label, we’re going to fly the three of you on a private plane around the world. At the end of the day, everyone has to earn their place and deserve to be heard,” Maluma said.

“He sings it better than me,” said the singer, who said he decided to “take a risk” despite “knowing nothing about the genre,” but saw it was “something interesting”.

Although ‘Papi Juancho’s’ plans are to look for talent in other countries, he said that right now his ‘head’ and ‘heart’ are fixed ‘on the project of both’.

“The dream is to have around five artists next year, but I don’t know if that will happen. I want everyone to develop their talent first and do what they want to do, break it and listen to the advice I can give them,” the artist revealed.

Maluma’s new label is part of his company Royalty World INC with which he signs several ventures, including music videos through production company Royalty Films, his fashion brand, Royalty By Maluma, and the brand of mezcal he has. launched a few months ago.
