Luis Landero, National Literature Award 2022

Louis Landereau was awarded National Spanish Letters Award 2022 awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sports “for an outstanding storyteller, creator of numerous works of art with very expressive characters and atmosphere.”

In addition, the jury noted “his excellent writing restoration of the Servantine tradition mastering humor and irony and brilliantly using the role of the imagination.”

Landero (Alburquerque, Badajoz, 1948) is one of the most outstanding storytellers in Spanish literature, using memory to depict modern society, including through humor and irony.
