LeBron James thanks his fans and haters during 37th birthday celebration

LeBron James, who has been playing in the NBA since he was 18-years-old, celebrated his 37th birthday with a big cigar, and thanked his family, friends, fans and haters for all the “B-Day” wishes.

“37 of them thangs around the ! Rumble Young Man Rumble!! I appreciate all the love today from family, friends, partners, associates, colleague, fans and haters for the bday wishes,” wrote James on his IG caption. “Been a great one and still 2 and half hours left! Love y’all coming straight from the King’s Throne! #ThekidfromAKRON”

James is playing his 19th NBA season, but the Los Angeles Lakers are not doing too well halfway through the year. The King played his last game as a 36-year-old against the Memphis Grizzlies, losing a 14-point lead to give Ja Morant’s team the victory.

Lakers will face the Portland Trail Blazers on New Year’s Eve for James’ first game as a 37-year-old. With a win against Damian Lillard and the Blazers, Lakers can get back to one game under .500 to start 2022 with a small boost.

LeBron James is one of the GOATs

Ever since he arrived to the league as a teenager, James has had massive expectations riding on his shoulders. It’s safe to say that the King has surpassed all expectations, and will still continue to build on his legacy in the time he has left as an NBA player.

James is currently chasing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the all-time list of top scorers in NBA history. He has a ways to go, first needing to pass Karl Malone, but if he keeps his current scoring averages going, James could become the NBA’s leading scorer of all-time by the midpoint of next season.

A four-time NBA champion, James keeps breaking records, the latest coming on Christmas Day when he overtook Kobe Bryant as the top scorer ever in Christmas games. James has countless of NBA records under his belt, but perhaps the most impressive is his active streak of 1,036 consecutive double-digit scoring games.
