Lagos thugs attack Akeem Adeyemi while on film set (Video)
Akeem Adeyemi, the Nollywood actor, has been attacked by thugs on a film set in Lagos.
Wunmi Toriola, an actress, revealed this through her Instagram page on Tuesday.
She said Adeyemi was attacked by “kids from the area” while filming in the Gbagada axis of the state.
Toriola also shared a video showing Adeyemi with a bloody eye lamenting the “brutal attack.”
“Look what the guys from the area did. to what end Peaceful filming turned this on. Aid. Gbagada Sawmill,” she wrote.
In reaction to the incident, Adebayo Salami, the star actor, revealed that the culprit has been arrested.
It also tasked the Theater and Film Arts Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) to intervene and ensure the safety of its members.
“This is an unacceptable experience. Although I am glad to know that the culprit has been arrested by law enforcement officers, I order @tampanglobal leaders to urgently investigate this situation,” he wrote.
“The safety of filmmakers is paramount to us. Beyond the physical assault, losing a day of production means more money must be spent on top of budgeted funds. No filmmaker wants to go through such stress. Sorry @iamakeemadeyemi and other members of the production.”
