La Palma recorded an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 and intensity IV early this morning (out of a maximum of XII), the most powerful of those that have occurred on the island since the start of the preceding seismic crisis the rash.

According to the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the earthquake occurred at 7:24 a.m. (Canary Island time), with an epicenter in the area of ​​Cumbre Vieja belonging to the municipality of Villa de Mazo and a focus at a depth of 39 kilometers.
