Plot of Under the Queen’s Umbrella

The King offers a replacement to each member of the triumvirate. He invites them to consider a question they would like to ask potential Crown Prince candidates if they were the King and wanted to choose the most qualified people. Uiseong is persuaded to incorporate this matter as part of the test when Seongnam mentions Uiseong and describes how people complain that the King is nothing more than a puppet.

Now that she knows that Seongnam is in the lead by following these materials for the investigation, the widow enlists the help of Ijojoeongrang, the part head of the Ministry of Personnel, to prove things in her favor and get a bonus. When one gives a gift, one’s intentions are quite evident. If he remains loyal to the widow and agrees with her choice of Bogeom as crown prince, then the sons of those part-chiefs could be promoted to more important positions within the government upon Bogeom’s ascension to that throne.

Plot of Under the Queen’s Umbrella

While all this is going on, the State Councilor is busy looking for a way to counter it by luring officers to him personally. It starts with the Minister of Justice. Hwa-Ryeong is indeed aware of this disagreement, but has ignored it to further inflame the situation. In the end, if his opponents split between Uiseong and Bogeom, he gives Seongnam a bigger chance to advance.

Uiseong initially has a huge lead in the vote count, but as news of his terrible servant remedy spreads, he begins to fall further and further behind. As they frantically struggle to determine what steps to take next, one of the students informs Hwang of the situation. He has come to the conclusion that the only one who can solve this problem is the Dowager Queen. Consequently, the State Councilor and Hwang have returned, prostrating themselves before the widow and imploring her to help them and Prince Uiseong.

This puts Dowager in a strong spot, as he will be able to successfully choose between the two princes and ensure that Hwang will not accede to the queen if Dowager chooses to have his son have more energy in his arms.

The Widow seems to have made up her mind and has a conversation with Consort Tae and Bogeom, during which she suggests that they withdraw from the competition. Because Tae has promised to do something the widow asks, she is surprised to learn that her morals are being scrutinized. She is likely to be executed for opposing her widow. However, despite the tears running down her cheeks, she maintains her defiant stance and refuses to let her son lose from her, arguing that the scenario will not be truthful and simple.

Regardless of this, Bogeom decides to withdraw from the competitors altogether, Dowager’s cruel one-liners echoing through his head. Despite everything, a prince descended from a mother of low social position will never reach the position of Crown Prince.

Hwa-Ryeong is disgusted with the interference, and as soon as it happens to him, he makes it easy for the students to confront them about their immoral conduct. She will not reveal the identities of the people in charge of sending the messages, which have been hidden in urinals and found by employees. However, that is her last option to maintain her honor and dignity. She then informs the King that she has discovered nothing and destroys the evidence in front of them; However, as a direct result of Hwa’s actions, all of Ryeong’s students decide to do the moral thing and burn her notes. They are going to do this within the applicable method so as not to contaminate the competition.

In reference to contamination, Consort Tae is placed in the place of a servant and assigned the duty of cleaning the Hwa chamber. Ryeong Even as she does the job, Hwa-Ryeong is instructed to do the duty once more once she has completed the entire room. It is a difficult job, however, she will not be allowed to receive help of any kind. Hwa-Ryeong confronts her at an unspecified time in the future and tells her that her desire for her wealth clouded her judgment, which is why she could not recognize that Bogeom was being exploited and should have been harmed.

Hwa-Ryeong is a steadfast and truthful queen with great values, and eventually tells Tae that he looks awful while keeping a pleasant smile on her face.

It seems that prior to this, the Queen had a conversation with Bogeom, who warned her against inflicting too much pain on Tae. Hwa-Ryeong is neutral, and he or she tells him that he must not question his inheritance and that he has the right to run for the position of Crown Prince. However, since he has dropped out of the faculty at this level, the position he should apply for is that of the King’s trusted adviser. It is a place that is not only profitable but also full of status. It is acceptable to point out frustration when things are difficult. Hwa-Ryeong talks to the teenager as he holds his arms and tries to persuade him to open up. Due to everything that has happened, Consort Tae has started to smile again, which brings Bogeom and Tae closer together than before.

The State Councilor reveals out of the blue, just before the decision is made based on the results of the investigation, that there is a rumor about Grand Prince Seongnam. He does not appear to have been raised within the palace and does not appear to be of royal lineage. If so, then Seongnam won’t be able to take his rightful place as Crown Prince, and the only way to find out the truth is to have his blood tested.

It is an additional scam and delays the final result to provide the officers enough time to implement their plan. Hwang and the State Councilor have been found to have surreptitiously included snake blood in the pattern, which has contaminated the water used to check the blood. As a result, Hwa-Ryeong has Consort Hwang and the State Councilor test the same water, and the results show the same thing: that they have failed the competition.

As a direct result of this, the King has issued a mandate requiring the death penalty to be imposed on anyone who criticizes the Princes or questions their ancestry. Upon delivering this stinging speech, Seongnam is chosen as the victor. No matter this, Uiseong will not fall again.

In a personal conversation with Hwang and the State Councilor, he reveals his intention to overthrow the King from his throne by any means, including using the King’s family against him.

Summary of the episode of Under the queen’s umbrella

This week, Under the Queen’s Umbrella returns with another exciting episode, where the winner of the competition is revealed to be Seongnam, and the competition concludes. Although it was probably foreseeable that this would happen, there have been some exciting moments. Probably the most notable of these was the blood test and revelation made by Consort Tae.

The way Queen Hwa-Ryeong offers to the various people who betray her demonstrates the degree to which she upholds the ideas of justice and fairness. It could have been quite easy to drive Consort Tae out entirely. However, Hwa-Ryeong recognizes that they have the potential to be extremely loyal, and she uses her generosity, just as she did to Consort Ko, to turn things in her favor.

With Uiseong currently hatching a conspiracy to seize the throne, and Seongnam just being elevated to the rank of Crown Prince, there may be a lot of room for hypothesis as to where this story can go from here.
