TThe NBA All-Star Game continued with Saturday activity, Three points competition there was a stellar list of players who were in contention for the award this year. In the first block, Luke Kennard (28 points) defeated CJ McCollum, Desmond Bain and Zack LaVine. The Chicago Bulls star was lured to become the first player in NBA history to win both the Slam Dunk Contest and the Three Point Contest. However, he dropped out of the race already in the first round, having scored the fewest points (14). After the break, Karl-Anthony Towns appeared to be leading by 22 points, but still behind Kennard. Trae Young then tied up Towns to go along with Kennard.
In the next round, Towns walked away with 29 points, which scared both Kennard and Young. An impressive spectacle from the depths, courtesy of the Minnesota Timberwolves star. Young was next in line, he tried his best, but started slowly and ended up with only 26 points. Luke Nennard was last, he also didn’t do well, tying Young by 26 points. Karl-Anthony Towns is the 2022 Three-Point Shot Contest Champion. But how did he handle the highest three-point record of all time?

With 29 points, Karl-Anthony Towns broke the record set by Stephen Curry in 2021 and Devin Booker in 2018. Both of these stars won the competition with 28 points, Karl-Anthony Towns leading them both by one point. Another impressive performance in the legendary NBA All-Star Weekend Three-Point Contest that saw Towns top of the rankings. He made history by writing his name next to such legendary players as Larry Bird, Stephen Carras well asSteve Kerr, Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving and Craig Hodges.
