A hadith describes Muhammad as saying: “If a husband calls his wife to his bed [i.e. to have sexual relation] and she refuses and makes him sleep angry, the angels will curse her until morning” (Bukhari 4.54.460).
And: “By Him in Whose Hand is my life, a woman cannot exercise the right of her Lord, until she exercises the right of her husband. And if she asks him to turn himself in [to him for sexual intercourse] she should not reject him even if he is in the saddle of a camel” (Ibn Majah 1853).

BAREILLY: A 34-year-old man in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh allegedly killed his 30-year-old wife after she refused his demand to “have sex twice in one night,” police said. In a video statement to police, Mohd Anwar admitted to the murder. He said he woke up his wife Monday night to have sex. After a while, he wanted to do it again, but he refused. In a fit of rage, Anwar said that he strangled her to death with a piece of rope. Later, he put the body in a polyethylene bag and dumped it 50 kilometers from his house. The same day, he filed a police report that his wife of nine years was missing.
On Tuesday, police recovered the unidentified body of a woman near the Thakurdwara village of Ratupura. After registering a murder FIR at the Thakurdwara police station, they started their investigation and shared the pictures of the body with the nearby police stations. After the details matched a missing persons report filed in Amroha, Anwar was called by the Moradabad police to identify the body. During interrogation, he broke down and confessed to her crime, police said.
