Russian Ilya Ivanyuk, fourth in the world rankings, was the winner of the Diamond League high jump, which began his tenth round of the championship this Wednesday in Lausanne (Switzerland).

Ivanyuk was the only one to jump the height of 2.30. Soon after, he failed to cross the 2.38 mark in three attempts, which would have improved the current world record held by Qatari Mutaz Essa Barshim, current Olympic champion with Italian Gianmarco Tamberi, who could not compete when he was invited this Thursday by the emir of his country.
