Higole’s Higole Gole1 R mini PC includes a 5.5-inch integrated screen. The Rockchip RK3588 processor, compatible with Android 12 and Linux or Ubuntu, powers the device. The Gole 1’s tiny battery adds to its reputation for portability. The chipset runs at 19 Wh, while RAM and storage are set at 8 GB/128 GB. Only the device’s HDMI 2.1 connector can decode 8K content with the Rockchip RK3588. It is worth mentioning that the low-power Rockchip RK3588.

The Gole 1 R contains a 3.5mm audio jack, a MicroSD card reader, 4 USB-A ports and a USB-C port in addition to the HDMI 2.1 port. The device supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6. The device supports these wireless standards.

Higole has launched a $353 Kickstarter campaign for the new device. A Gole 1 R model without battery and screen but with M.2 expansion is also available from Higole for $300. Early backers of Gole 1 R on Kickstarter should anticipate receiving their products around December 2023. The Gole 1 R goal has yet to be achieved at this time.
