The Gole 1’s tiny battery adds to its reputation for portability. The chipset runs at 19 Wh, while RAM and storage are set at 8 GB/128 GB. Only the device’s HDMI 2.1 connector can decode 8K content with the Rockchip RK3588. It is worth mentioning that the low-power Rockchip RK3588.

Higole has launched a $353 Kickstarter campaign for the new device. A Gole 1 R model without battery and screen but with M.2 expansion is also available from Higole for $300. Early backers of Gole 1 R on Kickstarter should anticipate receiving their products around December 2023. The Gole 1 R goal has yet to be achieved at this time.
