ToEilor Navas is going through a very difficult time regarding his future in PSG in the air, and with the change of coach, the Costa Rican wanted to prove that he could be in the starting XI.
Today, the Parisian team scored a third victory in the pre-season over Urawa Redswith goals from Pablo Sarabia, Kylian Mbappé and Arno Calimuendo and great performance from Keylor Navas.
However, at a press conference after a friendly match, his coach Christopher Galtier a sharp appeal to the goalkeeper.
“I know that Keylor Navas is very upset about this situation, but I trust him as our second goalkeeper,” he said.
Under contract until 2024
Keylor Navas, 35, has a contract with PSG until 2024 and he intended to keep it.
However, this new situation could lead to a turn in the scenario, and if a good offer comes in, the French side will allow the goalkeeper to leave and get playing time.
According to Le Parisien, the rotation of goalkeepers last season could have been detrimental to football. Gianluigi Donnarummalevel in decisive matches, so this year a cardinal decision was made from the beginning of the season.
Having set his sights on the World Cup in Qatar next November, Navas wants to arrive in full fitness and with a high level of competition in what will likely be his last World Cup.
