A fatal shooting occurred on the campus of the University of Virginia, leaving three people dead. Devin Chandler, the former Wisconsin football player, was one of the people who died in the UVA photograph.
Chandler played for Wisconsin football in 2020 and 2021 as a wide receiver for Badgers. That is the second major foul from the football program in less than 24 hours after the death of former running back Brent Moss.
Who was Devin Chandler?
Devin Chandler was a great receiving/return specialist who played football for Wisconsin in 2020 and part of 2021. The North Carolina native was a junior in college in Charlottesville, Virginia. He also spent part of his high school career in Tennessee.
Chandler played college football for the high school team and also appeared in six games in his two seasons with the Badgers. He averaged 26.0 yards on six kickoff returns, had two receptions for 28 yards and rushed for just 18 yards in 2020.
Despite a strong year, Chandler did not see his playing time improve in 2021. However, he entered the Switch portal in October after finishing the 2021 season averaging 21.3 yards on four kickoff returns.
