Final Four 2022: UNC reaches NCAA Natty by ruining Coach K’s last dance with Duke.


Tseeded #8 Resin North Carolina Heels pushed through #2 Duke Blue Devils Saturday at Caesar Superdome in New Orleans to get to NCAA National championship where they will face No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks.

Caleb Love scored a record 28 points, ensuring the victory of UNC, which spoiled the head coach Mike Krzyzewskilast dance with Duke. After 42 seasons with the Blue Devils, coach K would retire after winning five national championships.

Duke leads UNC at halftime

In the half, Duke led by three points due to UNC starting a hitting streak after trailing by as much as six points. In the second half, the Tar Heels went on the mend. 13-0 streak to take the lead, but the rest of the half was a showdown worthy of college basketball’s greatest rivalry.

Love scored almost all of his points in the last 20 minutes of the game to help UNC break through a ticket to Natty. R. J. Davis, Brady Manek as well as Armando Bakcott they each scored double-digit points.

Armando Bakot grabbed 21 rebounds

Davis scored 18 points, Manek had 14, and Backot scored 11 points on 21 rebounds. For the duke Paolo Banchero scored 20 points with 10 boards, Trevor Keels added 19 points and Wendell Moore got 10.

Tar Heels will now go to the NCAA National championship against the Jayhawks who pushed through #2 Villanova Wildcats. End time is set for 6:20 PM PT Monday at Caesars Superdome.
