fidelity bank plc has approved the removal of Kings Chukwu Akuma from its board of directors, effective November 24, 2022.

His retirement occurs after six years at the service of the institution, having joined the bank’s board of directors on November 25, 2022.

The CBN is aware: A corporate disclosure signed by company secretary Ezinwa Unuigboje showed the development was communicated to the Nigerian central bank. Part of the statement said:

  • “Fidelity Bank Plc notifies the public of the retirement of Kings Chukwu Akuma, a non-executive director of the bank’s board effective November 24, 2022.
  • “The board approved the withdrawal at its meeting on November 22, 2022 and communicated it to the central bank of Nigeria.”

The board therefore acknowledges Akuma’s contribution during the term of his service on the board, wishing him well in his endeavour.

Akuma’s Journey: Kings Akuma was appointed to the board of directors of Fidelity Bank as a non-executive effective November 2016. Prior to his resignation, he was head of non-oil and gas businesses for ALCON Nigeria Limited, a major player in the sector. of oil, gas and energy. .

  • Akuma was a Managing Director of Hammakopp Consortium Limited, a subsidiary of Nestoil Group Plc prior to assuming this role.
  • With decades of in-depth knowledge of banking/financial operations, consulting, manufacturing, oil and gas, and forensic accounting, he has coordinated financial due diligence at various banks.
  • He has a BA in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as well as an MBA from the University of Lagos.
