When did Kanye West and Elon Musk become friends?

Kanye West and Elon Musk have been friends for more than a decade.

On December 23, 2011, Musk shared an image of him and West on Twitter.

He said: “Kanye stopped by the SpaceX rocket factory today.”

The couple ended up forming a close friendship after that visit and repeatedly supported each other over the years.

Why was Kanye West suspended from Twitter?

Musk suspended West’s Twitter account after he tweeted an image of a swastika combined with a Star of David on December 1, 2022.

West, who now goes by Ye, was initially banned from Twitter for anti-Semitic comments he made on October 9, 2022, in which he said he would go to “death with 3 on the JEWISH PEOPLE.”

On October 10, 2022, Musk tweeted: “I spoke to you today and expressed my concerns about your recent tweet, which I think you took seriously.”

Prior to West’s troubling remarks, on October 8, 2022, Musk tweeted to West: “Welcome back to Twitter my friend!”

This was in response to West’s return to the social media platform after a nearly two-year hiatus.

Musk took over the company at the end of October 2022, after buying it for 44,000 million dollars.

What did Elon Musk say about Kanye West?

On the night of December 1, 2022, a Twitter user stated: “ELON FIX KANYE PLEASE”.

shortly after midnight on December 2, 2022, Musk responded: “I did my best. Despite this, you again violated our policy against incitement to violence. The account will be suspended.”

As The Guardian reported, West took to Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, to share screenshots of his alleged text messages with Musk.

According to the footage, Musk told West: “I’m sorry, but you’ve gone too far. This is not Love.”

West responded: “Who made you a judge?”

West then posted a screenshot of his Twitter account showing that he has been banned for tweeting for 12 hours.

West has repeatedly made headlines throughout the fall of 2022 for his anti-Semitic comments and rants.
