The tech mogul has again caught the world’s attention after making a bizarre appeal to the Russian president. Vladimir Putin to a fight where the winner takes Ukraine.
“I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat. Stakes in Ukraine,” he tweeted.
The post has garnered over 35,000 retweets at the time of publication and 230,000 likes.

Musk often tweeted about Ukrainian-Russian conflict which caused offense in some and humor in others.
One was the image of an “NPC” or “Non-Player Character” – a plain-faced figure who makes fun of those on social media who are thought to agree with everything the authorities tell them. In its tweet, the NPC holds the flag of Ukraine against a background of a number of other flags dedicated to social justice, with the slogan: “I support the current.”
Another shows the protagonist of the popular Netflix show Narcos, looking tired and staring off into the distance.
“Netflix is waiting for the end of the war to make a film about a black guy from Ukraine. [who] falls in love with a transgender Russian soldier,” the caption reads.
