Issue 5 Flashpoint Beyondcontinuation Flash point, has a version of the Joker from the Flashpoint universe, Martha Wayne and Thomas Waynearguing about the origin of the villain.
Martha reveals what she forced psycho-piratee, a villain with the ability to know the entire DC timeline to tell her everything she knew about the main DC. It was at this point that the Psycho-Pirate revealed that the Joker’s real name was Jack Oswald White.
We’ve seen the Joker under various names before, especially on the big screen, but this is one of the first times he’s been canon in comics. In addition, the musician Jack White would serve as an inspiration for the character’s name. Jack White also thanked DC for using his name.
“I’d like to thank DC Comics for giving the Joker the name ‘Jack White’ after me. Although his hair is usually not as blue as mine, I still take it as a flattering gesture on their part and consider it an honor. It has been a lonely journey through my life being the only person with that name so far. Jack White III,” he wrote on instagram post.
