Chelsea are looking for profitable Sol to support midfield

Saul niguez was associated with the move from Estadio Wanda Metropolitano all summer, but Chelsea there may be grooms who finally get their man.

The midfielder has lost his place as a regular player in Diego Simeonethe team last season and had to leave due to a connection with Barcelona and Liverpool, among other things, in recent weeks.

Now Champions League winners Chelsea become a potential destination if they want to replenish their squad.

“In the coming days, Chelsea will decide whether to buy a new midfielder or not,” transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said on social media.

“Watching Saul Niguez, he thinks this is an ‘opportunity’ – not yet advanced. Atletico Madrid will soon decide on Sol’s future.”

Midfield options

Atlético has a ton of options in the midfield center, namely: Coque, Rodrigo de Paul, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Marcos Llorenteand therefore may want to negotiate a sale.

As clubs seek to strengthen their attacking ranks, Dusan Vlahovic and Mateus Kunja both are linked, the funds from the transfer sale would be tempting.

Chelsea have already spent a lot this summer, bringing Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge for 115 million euros and would therefore have preferred a bargain option.

Saul is up for sale

With Saul seem to be up for sale and want to compete for first team playing time elsewhere, Chelsea can be optimistic that they can get a deal at a good price.

While Saulthe exemption clause is set at € 150 million, Atletico is expected to demand around € 50 million for its services this summer, although Chelsea could hope to negotiate an even better price.

At the age of 26, that’s a good price to pay for Chelseawho could hope to attract him and have a long-term option in midfield along with N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho as they are competing in several ways this season.
