TEnnis is a rising star Carlos Alcarazand not only he promises to achieve great success in sports.
Dominated in tennis Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic as well as Roger Federer for more than a decade now, fans have begun to look to the future and wonder who can succeed in the current big three.
Attending a BMW event in Madrid, Alcaraz spoke about his ambitions and about who, in his opinion, will make the next big three tennis players.
“The night I became number one, I was lucky to have my father, my uncles, my brother, my whole team and a few friends with me,” Alcaraz said.
“We had dinner at a friend’s restaurant in New York, but we didn’t have time for anything else.
“[Being compared to the big three] it’s not pressure, I enjoy playing tennis and when I enjoy it, the results come. I often smile during the tense moments of the game, and being on the court gives me pleasure.
“I don’t know how I’m going to compare to them, they’ve been here for 20 years, they’ve won everything and I’m just getting started.
“I want to continue on my own path. But what I can compare to them is the desire to get better every day. This is what I want. Tennis is evolving and you have to move with it.”
When asked about who could make up the future big three, in addition to himself, he answered briefly.
“[Jannik] Sinner as well as [Alexander] Zverev” Alcaraz said.
“There will be a very pleasant rivalry with Sinner. Our games are worth watching and we are such good friends as Wraith as well as Federer.”
