For several years Saul Canelo Alvarez gained international fame after his good results in the ring allowed him to win championships and become one of the best Mexican boxers in history.
Beyond sports and business, the boxer will now make the leap to the big screen.
He will appear in Creed III.
The undisputed 168-pound champion will appear in Creed III, which releases next March.
The actor announced Michael B Jordanwho, via an Instagram story, shared two photos with Canelo on set, one showing them hugging and the other appearing to be reviewing a scene.
Canelo adds spice to Golovkin fight
Canelo is due to face Golovkin in the last matchup of the trilogy between the pair on Saturday, and the Mexican added a spice to the encounter.
Canelo won the second meeting between the pair by majority decision, but many at the time thought Golovkin had the upper hand and deserved to win.
“He knows he lost, but he will never admit it,” Alvarez said at a press conference before the fight.
