Brazilian public bodies forced to save energy due to water crisis

Brazilian public bodies will have to adopt measures to save between 10% and 20% of the energy they consume, a measure imposed by the government to deal with the current water crisis in the country, the largest since 91 years old and who left a minimum water level of hydroelectric plants.

The mandatory reduction of energy consumption in all buildings of the Brazilian federal government is provided for in a decree by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, and published this Wednesday in the Official Journal.
