Jin is the oldest member of South Korean boy group BTS. According to reports, Jin will enlist in the military on December 13. He officially made his solo debut with the release of the song “The Astronaut” in October 2022.
Previously, news of Jin’s enlistment had been all over the news, but now BTS’ agency BigHit Entertainment has officially confirmed that the oldest member of the group, Jin, will be enlisting this month.

Jin will join the army to spend the required time in the army. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of employment.
Only soldiers and their families can attend the entrance ceremony. We ask fans not to attend the venue to avoid potential crowd issues. Instead, we encourage you to savor these words of emotional encouragement and farewell in your heart.
We also warn you not to suffer the consequences of purchasing illegal tours or product bundles using a stolen artist IP. Any attempt at commercial activity using such IP illegally will be met with appropriate action by our organization.

On December 4, Jin celebrated his 30th birthday by holding a live session on Weverse. This was Jin’s last birthday before joining the army. According to reports on December 13, Jin will join the army.

In 2018, he and his bandmates received the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea for their contribution to Korean culture.
