What can they say? It is not whether this or anything else would make Biden handlers reconsider their support for “Palestinian” jihad.
“Will Biden Admin Respond After Top Official From Terrorist-Linked Palestinian Group Calls To ‘Defeat’ US?”, by Micaela Burrow, Daily Caller, November 13, 2022:
A top coordinator for a pro-Palestinian terror-linked organization threatened the US and called for its “defeat,” but two weeks later the Biden administration has yet to respond.
Mohammed Khatib, one of the leaders of the Palestinian activist organization Samidoun, called for the “defeat” of the United States and the European Union in a protest outside a meeting of the EU parliament in Brussels in late October. Samidoun has ties to a prominent Palestinian resistance group that has engaged in terrorism, according to a previous DCNF investigation, and though US terrorism, experts told the DCNF.
“Defeating Israel means defeating the United States. Defeating Israel means defeating Canada, these settlements that exist at the expense of indigenous peoples and black people,” said Khatib, Samidoun’s coordinator in Europe, on October 29.
Khatib delivered the main remarks at the March for Liberation and Return that culminated in calls before the European Parliament to free Palestinian prisoners and end colonialism and Zionism, according to the organization. Khatib is described as a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a militant left-wing organization dating from the 1960s, in Palestinian media; The United States classified the PFLP as a terrorist organization in 1997.
Samidoun’s coordinator, Khaled Barakat, is also part of the PFLP Central Committee and is “involved in establishing militant cells and motivating terrorist activities in Judea and Samaria and abroad,” the Israeli Defense Ministry alleged. . Samidoun denied that Barakat ever served as a “senior director or coordinator” at the organization; Barakat was scheduled to attend the Oct. 29 rally but was denied EU entry by the Netherlands, the Jerusalem Post reported.
In February 2021, Israel designated Samidoun as a terrorist organization, citing its role in fundraising, recruitment, and publicity efforts on behalf of the PFLP.
So far, the US has not addressed Samidoun’s persistence in the US and his connections to the PFLP, a watchdog that experts say fails to take adequate precautions against terrorism.
“When you start to think that this is happening in the heart of Europe, and we (the US) are still champions of the Palestinian national movement, it certainly seems like, at the very least, there should be some kind of statement issued to the [Palestinian Authority] on something like this,” Jonathan Schanzer, senior vice president for research and scholar on the Middle East at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and a former counterterrorism official at the US Treasury Department, told the DCNF.
“The question is whether the United States begins to ask for evidence” of Samidoun’s complicity in terrorist activities “in light of such rhetoric, and whether the United States is going to respond in any way,” Schanzer added.
The Samidoun Palestinian Prisoners Solidarity Network advocates for imprisoned Palestinians around the world, including some jailed for attempted or successful violent attacks, according to the Samidoun website. One such prisoner is Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, who is jailed in the United States for his role in the 1982 assassinations of Israeli diplomat Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov and US military attache Charles Ray.
Additionally, the organization has organized “Day of Rage” rallies across the North Atlantic, including in the US. Protesters chanted “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” some waving flags bearing the PFLP insignia. .
However, the State Department has not indicated whether it is aware of Samidoun’s terrorist affiliations or whether the group will be further investigated. The State Department declined to respond to questions from the DCNF….
