The man who made threats on Friday at Anderlecht’s Saint-Anne Saint-Rémi hospital will finally not be forcibly committed to a closed psychiatric facility, the Brussels prosecutor’s office reports Saturday night….

The man, Hamza, 24, appeared armed with a knife on Friday morning at the emergency department of the Brussels hospital. He shouted “Allahu Akbar” (“God is the greatest”) and then declared that he was going to die but would come back to “kill everyone”, according to witnesses.

The individual then left without causing any casualties. However, the police took the threat very seriously and immediately organized a manhunt. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office had been informed, as well as all the other police areas in the capital and all the hospitals in the Brussels region. The police had also been notified of his town of residence, Martelange, in the province of Luxembourg.

On Friday evening, the man could finally be arrested in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. According to the police, this arrest was carried out without problems.
