The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, returned to Japan on Monday, the day before the opening of the Tokyo Paralympic Games, to attend the opening ceremony which will take place tomorrow 24.
In principle, all participants in the Games, including athletes and other personnel arriving from outside the country, must observe at least three days of strict quarantine before facing the remainder of the 14 days of the period with controlled movements, but an exception will be made with Bach to attend the opening ceremony.
